Finally managed to catch some time over last weekend to put together this latest video on Pairings for a hot summer item - Off Shoulder Top!
Many of you would already have such an item in your wardrobe and indeed it usually is worn casual over jeans/ shorts etc. However white lace is an " IN" look this summer which I have been gravitating to when out shopping, and therefore figured there must be several other ways to style this kind of top ranging from casual to classy.
Most of my followers would also agree that this top could even be worn as a cover up to go to the beach. So I have left this pairing out for your own creativity.
Enjoy this video and let me know which is your favourite look.

Hope you have been having a fabulous weekend, chilling and hopefully enjoying warmer and nicer weather.
Its been foggy and wet here in Hong Kong, so I decided to share this look taken a couple of days ago. Somehow this wet weather does get one feeling down and depress - almost suicidal for some... but sun was peeking out a couple of times today so hopefully brighter, sunnier and happier days ahead!
You know how I have been talking about " Culottes" in my last couple of posts and videos and that its a fresh alternative to shorts or skirts for Spring/Summer? So here I decided to pair it with a leather jacket for those of you in cooler climates still, so you can take this look easily for work on casual fridays or on weekends out. As for my fans in warmer tropical weather, I have put together some styleboards you can work with anytime throughout the year.
Got this pair of casual and easy to match grey culottes from ASOS ( my fav online shopping site) and it fits perfectly to many items in my wardrobe as I can easily dress it up or down with various pairings.
You will notice that most of the items in this look have been recycled from my wardrobe - just to inspire you with a few basic essential items, you can mix and match them so easily to create different looks to take you out on the town! Indeed my take on Getting The Look For Less!!
Keeping the look simple, a pop of colour was needed just to give it some oomph... so paired it with a camel coloured leather bag for that all over elegant touch to this pairing.
Before the weather starts to warm up for good and where a choice of hats would gravitate to lighter materials for summer, here's one of the last few looks for my Zara hat I simply adored this Winter.
So now, here are some looks from casual to evening that you can pair and style culottes in.
LOOK NO.1
Look No. 2
Look No. 3
If the above styleboards may not fit your style, perhaps these celebrity and street looks styling Culottes would help give you more ideas on mix and matching this elegant piece of outfit.
If heels are not your thing, try trending Culottes with flats or sneakers instead.
I hope you enjoyed these looks I have put together for you and have fun trending Culottes this Spring 2015!

Slowly picking up pace on my blog posts again whilst I sort out my personal issues. Sorry for the slowdown over the last 2 weeks. Should be back on track very soon with exciting collaborations and giveaways coming your way soon.
Meanwhile, as mentioned in my previous post on my " 10 MUST HAVES FOR SPRING WARDROBE 2015", Gingham is heavy trending in terms of pattern for this year. So some of you may be wondering what is the difference then between Gingham prints, Checks, Plaid & Tartan?
Gingham pattern are usually smaller check prints of equal width ( square) and often alternating with white. Many often associate this kind of print with aprons, kitchen cloths and young girls' outfits. But 2015 will see this print in clothing styles that would take it up a notch to a sexy level.

Plaid ( as its known in the USA & Canada) OR Tartan, is often associated with Scottish kilts or blanket patterns. Consisting of varying criss crossing of horizontal and vertical bands where the varying stripes meet, this gives the appearance of new colours blended from the original ones.

Checks tend to be larger square patterns of equal width, similar to Gingham, and often alternating with white or black though not always.

So now that we have cleared up the confusion of these varying checkered patterns, here's my style inspiration for you this week. As I do not own anything in Gingham JUST YET ( and hopefully I will look at getting some), therefore I decided to pull out my checkered peplum skirt - being the next closest pattern to Gingham and trend it since the weather has warmed up a little.
Nice to throw on a floppy hat and statement jewelry to top off the whole look!
So how at best can you Style Gingham pattern for 2015? Here are some Street Styles over Fashion Week SS 2015 trending Gingham prints, for you to draw your inspirations from.
The winds just changed so much cooler overnight at the turn of the clock from 30 Nov to the 1 Dec and the whole winter festive mood just clicks in the air.
To begin, let me first thank all of you for your enthusiastic support on the Marc Jacobs US$300 Gift Card Giveaway and for your " likes" and " comments" on my blog posts. It was fun putting the looks together and being further encouraged when my readers gives me that valuable Thumbs Up!
Having not done an outfit post recently, here's one to start off my Socks in Shoes Trend which I wish to just go crazy with this Winter.
By now, many of you would realise I am a " bling" kinda girl and I love that this jumper has the embellish shoulders which just glams up a casual gray sweater. LOVE IT!
Decided to just go all out with the bling then with the chunky bangles and of course trending a new hat for this Winter. Another favourite hat style I love is this newsboy cap... casual yet fun!
Was out shopping recently for Christmas gifts for my girlfriends and family and although it's only the start of December but my word, the Christmas feeling is in the air. So I had to just to blast my favourite Christmas carols in the background whilst typing out this post. I even have my favourite Christmas fragrance burning in the oil burner in the room. I do love Christmas sooo much - just all the memories of traditions we had in the family.
This green beaded cuff bangle which I am wearing was Grandma's and one of those that I had gotten her for Christmas just the year before she passed away. So wearing it in this outfit in the lineup for Christmas means so much.
And finally, the first of my few socks in shoes trend. This was a much lighter pair of socks which I easily paired with my stilettos from River Island. Subtle yet giving the outfit a fun element.
Let me know if this trend is a yay or a nay with you? It's the first time I am styling this trend but am certainly having fun with it.
Enjoy your weekend and do look out for my next video coming up on Monday, 8 December 2014.
Till then, keep warm and don't forget to keep your daily entries coming in for the Marc Jacobs $300 Giveaway! ( Click here)
Brr.....it is indeed getting colder now. As you can see from the view behind, it is foggy and miserable these last couple of days...so needed a little pick me up with my new hat which I got from Zara Home!! YES !!! They do sell accessories as well. Was completely surprised but a girlfriend wore hers and I said " I gotta have it", and at a steal of a price as well as with a " MADE IN ITALY" tag instead of the usual "made in china", how could I not?
Aztec prints is definitely fun to trend this Fall, especially when top to toe print outfits / looks is the IN trend for Fall / Winter 2014. So imagine my blissful happiness when I stumbled across this 2 piece crop top skirt suit from a boutique in one of our local malls in the area. Can you believe it? Comfy and slightly stretchable, this ( what I would think is some sort of cotton) outfit was only less than US$ 20! Didn't bother to try it in the fitting room and kept fingers cross it'll fit. Lo and behold!! Another great buy!
I do love crop tops but find it very difficult to style / trend them. You probably would have noticed I have not posted much outfits in this style since I am so conscious about my tummy area and believe me - I have no "washboard toned" tummy to show off. So finding the right length for a crop top was ideal. This one just barely skimmed the top of the skirt and what was even better is that trending this style for Fall, with the options of a scarf to help hide any areas that would peep through, this outfit was worth every penny. More so, you can even mix and match the top with jeans or perhaps pair the skirt leggings, turtleneck and a jacket. So ideally you have at least 4 outfits or so to trend with one buy.
Am leaving you with some pictures of outfits that's been styled for Fall with different styles of hats. Hope it will inspire you.
