Colours of Christmas

Just a few more weeks before Christmas! Whilst I am seeing many of my fellow bloggers highlighting Christmas outfits and backdrops of Christmas decorations in their IG pictures, so here is an outfit post on Christmas colours particularly of red and green.

As we will be flying out to Florida shortly to spend Christmas this year, I decided not to decorate the home seeing we won't be around to enjoy it. Instead here is a  post to inspire for your Christmas gift shopping.

This lovely vest from #LaurelBlooms could be worn as a top / dress/ or outerwear. As we are in the tropics and it is so warm over this festive season, I styled this top with black shorts under (just to maintain some form of decency)  and wore it as a dress. At my age, wearing it on its own would have been a little too risque for my liking.

May I add, this was the perfect colour combination for me to trend even more lovely jewels and arm candy from #Blueirishandicrafts. I love the unique polygon shaped pendant with the matching drop earrings that accented the Christmas colours of red and green. Keeping the parisian feel to this outfit post, I wore the pendant on a double choker necklace.

Similar to the purple stoned cuff I styled in a previous post ( check it out here), this time I styled the thinner and curvier emerald green cuff with this look.

If you like to get some of these very reasonably priced jewellery from Blue Iris, please check out their range of products on Instagram and on their Facebook page and place your order directly with them. All sales go towards supporting the tradesmen making such lovely handmade jewellery.

Watch this space as I bring you more lovely  year end festive looks from USA shortly!

Blushing Pink

Celebrated Mom's 78th birthday this weekend ! Was too crazy busy to sit down and get a full post out to you guys. So here's a quick start to the week. I have noticed that I am styling more pinks these couple of weeks, somehow it's my current colour of the month.

I love how a light black and white cover-up works well against the pink to give the outfit a little kick and more so, that it also helps to keep me warm from those blasting air conditioning in the malls. My word - it had been sweltering hot these last few days in Singapore. So here we are again, melting in the heat outdoors and shivering our butt off in the malls.

Hope you enjoyed this post and you can shop this look below.

Bloody Mary :: Red Cuffed Pants + Embroidered Top

Hi everyone,

After weeks of unpacking and settling into a new routine, I finally managed to take some time off to visit the Singapore Art Museum recently with my son as there was a children's exhibition ongoing at the moment.

Being housed in an old building I loved the architecture of the museum and had to take some outfit shots to highlight in my post.

Am back to trending drop earrings this summer. Found this pretty palm leaf patterned pair at Lovisa!

The art installations were very captivating but I  particularly liked the one from Mary Bernadette Lee (Singapore) entitled " Wanderland". If I could redo a baby's nursery this would be what I would have liked the nursery to look like!

These pretty fabric lanterns reminds me so much of the globe and it was like looking through to the unknown!

Back to the outfit, I had styled this pair of comfy cuffed pants last Summer when I was holidaying in Florida ( check out the post here). Unfortunately with the move this year, we could not head out to see family for summer but will hopefully do so over Christmas.

I love the slouchiness of this pair of pants and it is perfect for the hot summer weather - given I had so many " war wounds" from the move and my legs were so badly scratched up. I was just too embarrass to be trending anything above the knee.

Hope you like this pairing. Have a good weekend ahead!

Oh My Valentine ! :: Lantern Sleeve Blouse + Fur Vest

Happy Valentine's Everyone!

A quick mid week post to highlight my somewhat twist on the typical classic Valentine's outfit - often being a very feminine sort of dress such as a little black / lace dress, red dress, skirt combinations etc...

This gorgeous lantern sleeve top was one I had found on my favourite online go to store - Shein.com for the latest fashion trends and items at a fraction of the cost. Seeing the nights  in Hong Kong these few days are pretty cold averaging 12 - 15 degrees, I threw on this fur vest to keep me warm as dinner was outdoors yet being sleeveless, accomodated for the showcasing of this statement sleeve blouse.

It was a casual dinner planned therefore, I decided to go statement with the blouse yet casual with the pants. Stiletto ankle booties was the perfect answer to finish the look.

I hope you enjoyed this look. Now you can trend this same look from my favourite items from Shein.com.

Black Boat Neck Lantern Sleeve Bowknot Blouse ( available in 3 colours)

Black Scallop Hem Crop Flared Pants

Black Faux Fur Vest
Black Metal Skeleton Hand Accent Studded Clutch Bag

Gold Plated Hollow Square Brooch ( perfect when belt is tied over)

Elegant Rhinestone Flower Wedding Party Brooch
Gold Color Metal Ball Statement Rings

Black Chain Embellished Stiletto Ankle Booties

Black Cutout Point Toe Stiletto Suede Booties

Have fun this evening and hope you enjoyed this look!

Dazzle into 2017! Happy New Year !

Goodbye 2016 and Hello 2017!

As the clock is ticking down to midnight, here is my final post for 2016 - my dazzling New Year's outfit to welcome 2017!

I found this lovely Sequin Top and metallic midi skirt from ZARA's Winter sale and I just had to have it. It matched perfectly with my newly found H&M Glitter Slingbacks... what a perfect New Year's Outfit to ring in 2017! I must say 2016 has not been a very pleasant year for many ( as I ask around and even feel it so for myself).

Let's be honest - I, for one, believe more is more ( more often than not!) so for my New Year's outfit I went out crazy with as much bling as possible from statement sequin top, to statement bling necklace, to statement bling pave bracelet and statement glitter heels! It was so bright and dazzling in the sunlight... the rays bouncing off my little mirrored sequins...felt like a Dreamgirl in the movies!

Statement sleeves are the IN trend at the moment ( as you may have noticed from my recent posts) and so its no wonder this sequin top had to have a va va voom effect for me with it's bell sleeves for me to pick it out from a pile of sale items and visualise that styled final product I wish to trend for this final post of 2016.

So what is your New Year's resolution? I have so many.. if you have been following me closely this last year, you would have shared my ups and downs with me through this year. Looking back, 2016 had me realised life is too short for hypocrites in my life. I particularly discovered the hypocrisy of certain friendships over summer 2016 and made a vow to slowly alienate myself from such people who only pull me down with their jealousy, hypocrisy and negative vibes. So 2017, here I come with a big bang filled with a positive new attitude and writing off friendships I deem superficial.

On a different note, 2016 also brought me new levels of friendships with fellow international bloggers which I got to know from social media and collaborations. These few but very supportive fellow bloggers ( like a needle in a haystack) was so willing and forthcoming to spend their precious time to guide me and advise me on how to better inspire my readers and followers and for that I am deeply grateful.

A very big shout out especially to Yen from Diva In Me and Elizabeth from Stylewich. Both gorgeous ladies inside out and I hope one day I can repay their kindness and support as much as they have extended out to me.

And so as I wrap up 2016, I wish for all of you my dear readers and followers only good and positive experiences in 2017. A year filled with ONLY happy surprises, good health ( most importantly!) and a year filled with love... Put all hatred behind you... all envy and jealousy away... know that life is always better filled with love ( and bling!). I will leave you with this quote which someone had said to me once and it stuck forever in my mind :

" It always takes more out of you to hate someone than to love someone!"

Happy 2017 !!
