Hi everyone.
Spent the last couple of days playing around with trial videos to learn how to edit them, add music and captions, but more importantly to be able to make a video that reflects ME ! Research is always important and whilst I was trawling through Youtube ( I will be honest to admit I hardly go onto Youtube to watch Vlogs) something disturbing popped up and now it's making me think twice.
I will get to that bit later on in this post but in the meantime, as you have seen from my last post - I am beginning to enjoy trending hats. So here's another Fall / Winter look you could be inspired with.
Was one of those mornings where you dress for warmer weather and suddenly it starts to get cloudy and windy. So threw on this boxy coat and wore my trusted wedge sneakers from Zara to keep warm. Not forgetting a nice floppy hat to keep the hair in place and my head warm from the chilling winds.
This Fall / Winter 2014, I have been gravitating towards Boxy Jackets and Coats. Something about this structure that gives a little element of that runway feel to outfits otherwise simple or lame if paired with a regular cardigan.
Always been a lover of adding red accents to black, so no surprise this time with my YSL inspired bag that I nicked off my mom some years back and another beloved item from my closet ( which you probably have noticed me trending a few times in my blog) - my Rue 21 jeans for US$ 10!!
So back to my initial fears about starting to Vlog or do Youtube videos. You see, whilst researching how others edit their videos or simply learning how to Vlog, I came across particularly two very successful and inspiring Vloggers -
Eleventhgorgeous and
Zoella who I thought are so good in what they do and obviously they are so down to earth people that resulted in their many subscribers or followers.
Unfortunately just of late, they have been " victimised" if I can use that word, from hate comments and people who simply perhaps are jealous of their successes and either getting Youtube to strike them ( as in the case of
Eleventhgorgeous) or for
Zoella, where she was put down by many horrid hate comments resulting in her breakdown and having to take time off from Vlogging. This is utterly sad because even as a new follower of Vlogs, I personally enjoyed their videos and each and everyone of their videos had their own personality coming through. They were not fake nor trying too hard or got overwhelmed by their sponsors that their vlogs became simply another ad for a product. I will be honest to admit some of their videos were even good Pick Me Ups for those gloomier days. My take on on all this is that, if you do not like their style / personality or what they are doing - just DON'T FOLLOW them or view their Vlogs. SIMPLE!! What do you gain by continuing to view their videos, and then only to leave hate comments?
So with that said, I am concern to be " exposed" in that manner but I guess I will cross that bridge when I come to it. Blogging and soon to be Vlogging, will always be a hobby I enjoy and seriously, if you do not like my style or what I have to say - then please move on.
Till then, for my great supporters, do continue to keep your positive comments, requests and don't forget your final entries coming in for the
Michael Kors US$ 300 Gift Card Giveaway and do watch this space for the next exciting giveaway coming your way soon.
Love,
Simone xoxo

Happy Friday and Happy Halloween everyone!
I know you have been waiting anxiously to hear of the MICHAEL KORS GIFT CARD GIVEAWAY which I had promised to be posted today. Unfortunately due to some logistical issues, we will not be able to launch it till Monday, 3 November 2014. So please watch this space on Monday to log in your entries.
Michael Kors who is well known for designing classic American Sportswear, has made his mark in the fashion league with both his MICHAEL Michael Kors and KORS Michael Kors collections. His style has always been simple, chic and elegant and therefore are always classics to own and has timeless value. Many Hollywood celebrities have been seen styled in Michael Kors e.g Jennifer Lopez, Heidi Klum, Catherine Zeta-Jones and even USA's first lady - Michelle Obama just to name a few. So I decided to dedicate this post to my favourite Michael Kors outfits from his Resort Collection 2015, just to tickle your tastebuds.
Seeing it's Halloween, I was not going to post a picture of myself in some hideous god-forsaken costume, however felt this Michael Kors Snake Print Dress ( from couple of seasons back)would somehow suffice to create an element of fun for this post.I had to top off the look with my Michael Kors Chronograph Watch - a favourite accessory of mine and many other fashion bloggers, if you haven't noticed just yet.
I wanted to give a new spin to this outfit, so decided to style the thin, similar fabric waist belt that came with the dress as an accessory, and worked with a statement belt instead to bring this look fashion forward. Do you like it? Pairing it with these sold-out, ZARA taupe mules, was just perfect for that "Back to Nature" feel with all earthy tones to complete the outfit.
Thin Belt ( worn as a scarf) : came with the dress as a waist belt.
Following the recent Fashion Week showcases for 2015, here are some of my favourite picks from Michael Kor's Resort Collection for 2015 where you will notice, nude and classic looks, mix and matching with bolder trendier floral prints and crop top silhouettes. I grouped them by colours so you can enjoy trending them in Spring 2015.
Have a great Friday and Halloween and REMEMBER to visit this blog again on Monday for the MICHAEL KORS GIFT CARD GIVEAWAY!

Hi everyone and happy Friday to you!
Taking a little break from #PinnedItSpinnedIt on Instagram as I was busy trying my hand out at photography and styling for a fun photoshoot for one of my ardent supporters.
She had contacted me and asked for styling tips and how to take nice pictures. Being based here in Hong Kong as well and having been following my blog religiously, I decided to invite her over for a day and tried my hand being behind the camera ( literally), and also helping her do her hair / makeup and styling. It was a fun day and certainly realise it takes a lot more out of those behind the scenes/ camera than the model themselves for photoshoots. It was hard work but patience got us through the day.
Respecting her privacy, I will not be sharing her pictures on my blog but you can see a couple of her shots on my
Facebook Fan Page, as she continues to tag me on them as she posts them through the course of time.
So here's an outfit I had worn recently for lunch with the girls and figured it's a nice look to share, given that Fall is the time where we can start pulling out our booties. Of course the weather here in Hong Kong doesn't get much colder till perhaps November or even towards December. Hence ankle booties is the way to go with footwear till the mercury drops for the knee high boots to take over it's place.
I particularly like how the outfit stood out against the rustic temple that lies below a hill near my home. I wanted to present you a side of Hong Kong, which most don't see. People often see Hong Kong as a vibrant bustling city with branded stores and shops lining streets after streets in the city, and people mostly living in apartments on the main island. Where I live which is a good 45 mins from the main city, a vast majority of village people ( yes I do live in a village away from the city) are pretty religious and god fearing to a certain extent. There are about 4 shrines in total in my village alone. So, I wanted to have you feel the " heart" of old Hong Kong and so decided on this backdrop for this shoot.
Just a little fun trivia, this particular shrine is where my pack of wild dogs would go and take cover when the storms come through. Sheltered and warm ( but very dark) it seems to provide them the protection they need.
As promised, here are some of my favourite Ankle Booties to share with you.

Hi everyone. The perfect Fall weather is finally here. Not too hot in the morning and evenings, which allow me to throw on a light outerwear and take it off once it starts to warm up by midday. Enjoyed putting together this bright and cheerful outfit to start your week with.
Whilst the boy is on mid-term break from school, I was able to wear this outfit for shopping instead of daily school runs. Easy and versatile, I fell in love with a Kimono outerwear which is really popular style of outerwear at the moment and which are much lighter than your standard cardigan and ideal for Fall ( especially in Hong Kong where it doesn't get too cold just yet).
You can play around by mix and matching your bottoms e.g coloured jeans / regular jeans or even tights/ leggings for Fall to bring out the varied colours in the Kimono throw.
I chose a bright blue shorts to anchor the base colour of blue and white and let the orange and yellow stand out strong from the Kimono.
Perfect weather to start pulling out my booties, this look could also be paired with ballet flats as well.
As most of you would know by now, my signature style is to trend my outfits with Statement Jewelry. Therefore, I wanted to match multi coloured statement necklace ( thanks Carla!) - which was Christmas pressie from my bestie ( at least 4 Christmases ago) which I love so much and most definitely brought out the key colours in my outfit. Love it!!
Recently whilst researching on the net, I had also come across an online boutique -
Lookbook Store based in USA, of which I find their prices are very reasonable and I love their collection. Furthermore they do provide FREE WORLDWIDE SHIPPING. Am dedicating some of the links below to their store for you to check them out. Will certainly be shopping online with them and doing a haul soon to share with you. Have fun shopping and hope you like the Kimono trend as much as I do!
Love,
Simone xoxo

Hi everyone! Yeah it's Friday again!
Wore this outfit recently as a spin off @ #PinnedItSpinnedIt on Instagram recently and thought it ideal to share this look with you, for a casual dress down Friday at work or for the weekend out. Classy yet quietly simple, polka dots somehow does add that feminine touch to an outfit without being too over " girly".
I wanted to keep the outfit simple and thought it fun to bring out my 3D doggie bag again. It's actually a pretty versatile bag to use on the weekend.
" Cookie" as usual was lurking around to photobomb my shots whenever she could, so decided to let her have the leading role in this next shot.
Whilst putting this post together I came across some Hollywood celebrities trending polka dot tops as well and figured, it would be nice to give you some styling tips and inspirational boards on how to wear a simple polka dot blouse.
Any one of these looks below that I have put together would suit Petite sizes to Plus sizes. Depending on the type of industry you are working in, these looks could also easily take you from work to dinner/ drinks.
