Wedding Dresses Under $200 Even Meghan Markle Would Approve Of

Whilst Meghan starts her new life as a royal, many of us are still discussing and gathering inspirations from her recent wedding outfit. From hollywood to a royalty, I would imagine the many factors she had to consider picking out her dress. Keeping it simple yet elegant, tasteful yet with a hint of sexiness and va-va-voom!

The slightly off shoulder boat neck style she wore certainly had me starting to look at dresses in that style. And so my first choice of wedding dresses under US$ 200, would be this popular wedding dress off shoulder lace number above. If I had a choice to do it all over again, this would be one of my top picks.

A perfect choice fit for royalty would be the Princess Ballgown. Full tulle skirt, covered 3/4 sleeves and lace galore. This number above speaks for itself of full royalty elegance and a classic dress to walk down the aisle in. Indeed a style Grace Kelly would also approve of.

Now this style is slightly controversial for a princess, but certainly appropriate for the many of us " commoners". Quite similar to Kate Middleton's wedding dress style, the bodice is totally lace with a deep V to accentuate the decolletage. However the long lace sleeves, kept this number in check in terms of classiness and elegance.

A very popular wedding dress style is the Mermaid Style. And before you jump and say " its not for me", look at the several variations above to match any body type and figure.

Again, the main essence in these selections is lace and more lace! I love how simple some of the outfits can be, whilst others have that extra touch of a lower back or subtle neckline.

I know how tight one's budget can get with a full blown wedding party, hence this beautiful 2-in-1 wedding dress gives you the best of both worlds. Complete with a large church train, this dress takes you down the aisle in style. Capture those lovely shots with this big and beautiful outfit. However when it comes to the dinner party, toss off that removable large train and you got yourself a sexy, slinky evening dress to dance the night away in. A perfect dress which you can recycle as an evening outfit to other black tie events. Most of us cannot do that with our wedding outfits so imagine the mileage you will get with this style.

And so these are my top 5 Wedding Dress Styles, all under the very manageable budget of US$ 200 and certainly styles I am sure Meghan Markle would approve of.

Have fun dress shopping and share with me below which is your favourite wedding dress style above.

LOVERLY : : Dream Day Style Challenge

Hi everyone,

Being happily married for 14 years now ( if some of you are wondering why this post), I am certainly not planning a wedding for myself. However, when Loverly - a New York based online Wedding Planning portal, contacted me recently to participate in their Dream Day Style Challenge,  it had struck a warm note in my heart and got me really excited again.

Having started off my first hotel job as a Wedding Planner, I found a passion for organizing events - in particular weddings, very fulfilling.

Being an integral part of someone else's BIG DAY and helping to ease their stress level with them putting full confidence in you in organising what would be a once in a lifetime event in their lives, is so rewarding.

If I had to do it all over again a City Venue ( aka Sex in the City) would be the kind of wedding I would prefer. Somehow living in fast moving cities like Singapore and Hong Kong and working with a tropical climate, it's difficult for me to envision planning a Rustic wedding in the countryside or a Beach Wedding.

I chose this Casablanca-Kirstie Kelly gown for my look as I love that touch of bling at the waist. This classic sweetheart style gown with a mermaid cut full skirt gives the dress the pomp and flair that would only be ideal for a big day such as this.

It would be a sin not to consider these sparkly, strappy Jimmy Choo heels. However keeping in line with
"less is more", Thomas Laine diamond/ pearl earrings and a simple embroidered veil  would be ideal accessories. An elegant headpiece like this Mistletoe comb would add that final touch to complete the ultimate City Chic Wedding outfit.

So for those of you who are planning for that Big Day and need a little inspiration, I hope you will find this post of some help to you and do check out more styles, wedding dresses and accessories at Loverly to help you achieve that Dream Day Style!

Love,
Simone
