Max Mara Cruise Line Event 2016

Happy Tuesday everyone,

Was recently invited to preview the Max Mara SS 2016 collection at their flagship store here in Hong Kong.

The event kicked off with famous fashion stylist and blogger - Ms Faye Tsui of "Fayevorite", sharing invaluable mix and match styling tips with the VIPS as they sipped champagne and browse through the collection.

I certainly loved the nautical inspiration behind this collection. Particularly their jumpsuits with a sailor's knot at the back as detailing and high waisted pants with gold buttons! Gorgeous!! Not forgetting the loose and comfortable tunics and tops that are so versatile for mix and matching in Summer.

If you have not noticed yet, stars and stripes were also a key focus this season.

No fashion preview is ever complete without the pampering of champagne and cocktail hors d'ouerves. And the evening ended with everyone sampling limoncello liqueur as they excitedly tried various items from clothing wear, to shoes, bags and jewelry. Many walked out with a filled Max Mara shopping bag in hand at least, so you can imagine the buzz for this event.

As for me, the night was still young. So with my NEW pair of shoes in hand, goodie bag and slightly tipsy from all the alcohol at the event, I headed out to the Mira Moon hotel for a nice tapas dinner. Sorry I had not taken pictures of myself at the preview as you can imagine juggling a camera, champagne glass and cocktail in hand was no mean feat, let alone trying desperately to get my hands on some goodies! However here were some quick mobile phone before and after shots.

I hope you enjoyed this post and stay tuned for the next Coach Giveaway #2 coming up real soon with a lovely North South Swingpack up for grabs!

Summer 2016 - New Look!

Sunday, April 24, 2016 Simone - Your Style Architect 1 Comments

Happy Sunday everyone,

If you haven't yet noticed, I have just launched a new look and feel for my blog and to compliment this whole adventure of refreshing one's looks - I got myself a haircut too! All ready for Summer!

I had been wanting to have a change in my looks especially for this Summer 2016, and after much research and thought, decided to pop into a Korean Hair Salon and requested for a korean hair stylist to chop off my locks. Having seen this kind of bob-style on some korean actresses and with almost a half hour consultation with the stylist, I was brave enough to finally make the decision.

Quite funny but naturally once the look was put together, I started changing my style as well. Working towards more korean pop fashion as opposed to my previous style which is more inclined towards more ladylike and smart casual styling. As sneakers are all the rage for 2016, you will notice that I am starting to drift away from ballet flats and sandals and will be styling my summer outfits more with espadrilles and sneakers this Summer 2016.

Loving this bell sleeve top from Zara which I had highlighted in my recent shopping haul video ( check it out here) and I do love how it could easily pair with pants, shorts and even a pencil skirt. I did wear it over the weekend with even a mini skater skirt. What a versatile top!

Loving these Rubi ( Cotton On) lace sneakers which are so comfortable. Got them also in army green canvas too.  To be honest, I would usually pair this same ensemble with ballet flats or open toe sandals, but since I decided to take a twist on my haircut - leaning towards a korean pop fashion influence - sneakers seem such a perfect choice for this outfit.

Crossbody mini satchels are the IN bags for spring/summer 2016 and this lovely Chloe Drew inspired bag from was the perfect choice. You would be surprise that although this bag looks tiny, but it certainly is most spacious in what I could squeeze into this little bag.

Aviator sunnies - a perfect accessory to complete the look.

With this new korean style dressing,  accessories are kept simple and in line with the gold tone of the handbag chain.

So let me know in the comments below if you like my new look! Love to hear from you and your suggestions on a new dress style I should adopt for Summer 2016.

Work It Out in Style - LOLEWOMEN.COM

Monday, April 11, 2016 Simone - Your Style Architect 5 Comments

Happy Monday to all of you,

Now that Spring is here and Summer is just around the corner, I bet many of you are back to your workout regimes and getting geared up for those bikini wearing days to come.

As much as the concept of healthy living and maintaining a healthy lifestyle including working out is concern, of course it's nothing new and should be practised all year round. However lately I have noticed much more emphasis by retailers focusing on active wear, with many active gear stores popping up like wildfire in the malls. H&M, Cotton On and Forever 21 known for retailing trendy fashion forward and stylish clothing, all now have activewear standalone stores or divisions aiming to reach out to this new market segment of health conscious women who wish to look good and stylish whilst working out. No more dowdy old sweats and grey outfits!

So I am sure you will be tickled pink with this label I just discovered - In line with their motto of Living It Loud,  they have such unique pieces and funky active wear gear that will certainly get you  to be the talk of the yoga or pilates class next!

To be fashion forward, I hate to get out and about in my workout outfits but yet often find myself with little time after any workout to shower, do my hair and be ready for my next appointment. Or even simply to rush from gym to pick up my child from school. So when I discovered, their products appealed to me as they were funky and had a unique style where you could run around town in your workout gear without feeling you had to change into something else after your workout. Definitely felt it was a must-share with my readers and followers.

Their active wear items are perfect for various activities. From Yoga/Pilates to Running/ Fitness. From Lifestyle/Travel to the Beach, and Skiing/Snowboarding. You name it, they got it! From clothing items to accessories. What's more ( this is the best part) a range of sizes from XS - XL. Not to mention various colour options for most of their items.

Kyra Tank

Alpine Bra
Doreen Leggings // Sierra Leggings
Leggings - a must have item in every workout wardrobe, here you will find so many coloured options and variations of leggings to choose from. With their quick dry, moisture transport and 4 way stretch design - these leggings certainly will have you coming back for more!

No time to shower or get changed? Throw on these fabulous tops or dresses or accessories over your workout gear, a quick spritz of deodorant or perfume and you are ready to rock n roll!
Tonya Sweater
Jacey Dress

Marina Dress

Elitia Scarf
Now drum roll please...... Of all their items, this is my favourite as it's a 3-in-1 jacket which you can play around so much with. Especially when the weather gets crazy hot one minute,  then you enter malls that have air condition blasting cold you can almost imagine snowflakes falling from the ceiling.

Sway 3-in-1 Reflective Jacket

Sway 3-in-1 Reflective Jacket ( Vest)

Sway 3-in-1 Reflective Jacket ( short crop)
I love that this Sway jacket which comprises of 2 pieces, can be combined as a long jacket for a perfect coverup for cooler mornings and cold malls. Take off the outer layer, and you have a vest which can double up as a top worn over your yoga bralet to run about doing your errands. And finally, throw on the outer short crop jacket without the vest and you got a cool funky crop top style outfit for those hotter summer days. Available also in black and pink.

With FREE SHIPPING within Canada and Continental USA, hurry and grab your favourite workout gear NOW from Not forgetting - if you sign up now for their newsletter you will receive a 15% discount for all first time buyers!

Have fun trending these cool and stylish items and do leave me a comment below to let me know which is your favourite item? Stay healthy and trendy!

Grecian Goddess :: Must Have Spring Dress Trend + Halo Hair Band

Saturday, April 09, 2016 Simone - Your Style Architect 8 Comments

Hey there,

A nice wrap up to the end of another week. Had back to back giveaways happening this week of which the last of a series of 4 giveaways was launched over the March - April 2016 period. Please go check them out in my earlier posts as there is still time to log in your entries till 12 April 2016.

Here's a look I had put together recently and I must say, its indeed a pity that the Australian based accessory boutique - LOVISA, is not available here in Hong Kong. However, whenever I do head back to Singapore, I would go crazy in their store for all their items are just so pretty and unique.

Got this unique hair band a while back and it was a nice twist to pair with this outfit.

This mustard coloured shift style sleeveless dress from H&M in jacquard material is one of my favourite dresses in my closet over the last year. The ease and comfort of wearing shift dresses makes it a Spring/ Summer MUST HAVE . Besides that it does not wrinkle or crease too much also makes this a perfect outfit to take out on trips or holidays.

Pair it with heels ( in this case - Gladiator style heels) and you got an evening outfit put together. Or wear it casual with slip on sandals and you can shop comfortably in it during the day.

Picked up this lovely hair band from LOVISA where you can style it 2 ways. The first, as you can see is how I had styled it with this outfit,  and the second is to bring the leaf chain over to the front and across the forehead ( similar to an indian style kind of accessory) and voila... you get a different look altogether!

Keeping in line with a " Grecian Goddess" theme, I paired the dress with a simple fringe gold necklace and kept all other accessories simple and minimal.

Most of you would realise that I often refer " getting the look for less" from my favourite online store - Why not check out their Awesome deals right now and shop their range of shift dresses to trend this Spring/ Summer 2016! At great dealsof 40- 45% off, getting a couple certainly will not burn a hole in your pocket to look trendy and stylish this Summer.

Dress : H&M // Bag : Fendi
Heels : // Hair Accessory : Lovisa
Watch : Michael Kors // Ring : MANGO
