When You Wish Upon A Star

Dress : Wish ( ON SALE ! get it here)
Bag: Dior
Hat : ( similar here)
Sandals : Sam Edelman ( similar here)
Rings : H&M
Earrings : Lovisa

This beautiful summer dress came in my Style Theory box recently and I am so  loving the combination of navy blue and silver on this star crossed dress from Wish. The intricate leaf embroidery in shape of stars is such a pretty pattern and the trumpet sleeve definitely makes this dress unique and very comfortable to wear.

It was perfect to match it with my Dior saddle bag and keeping this look stylish yet casual, I decided to pair it with an old pair of gladiator sandals which I love to the core. And if you are in Asia, you will know what I mean when I say the weather is hot, hot, hot! So lately I have indeed been styling  wide brim straw hats with my outfits, not only to keep myself cool from the heat but its always a nice and very Parisian touch to uplift one's wardrobe and look with a pretty matching hat!

A quick outfit shoot before we headed off to Church this morning, I hope you enjoy this look.

Love,
Simone xoxo

Jeweluxe Singapore 2017

What a weekend it has been. My fellow influencer @cherylnicolesoh and myself was invited by Elle Singapore to attend Jeweluxe 2017. A curated showcase of exquisite, elegant, timeless and innovative jewellery, timepieces and fashion exhibition from all over the world, it was certainly a bling-bling night to remember.

Indonesian Designer - Rusly Tjohnardi's gowns was the perfect compliment to the exquisite jewellery showcased on the runway.
We attended Edition Two ( 11 - 15 October 2017) which was a curatorial showcase of European and Asian excellence. We were simply blown away with the unique jewellery pieces - all an art piece of their own. The craftsmanship and detailing of every piece was just so captivating that one can only appreciate why each and every piece was worth it's large price tag.

" Magerit" certainly got me hooked as soon as I walked through those doors.

A most lovely treat to see my name up there in lights! I had to meet the designer herself - Simone!

Her pieces truly reflect her beauty and elegance and I can certainly relate to each and every gorgeous piece in the display showcases.

Yet, another designer which also caught my attention was Doris Baer from Baer Jewels. I was particularly drawn to her water pearl collection. Each and every pearl was as nature had wanted it to be, not cultivated but unique in its own way. All she did was put them together and added a little silver beak and " voila" that pearl actually " transformed" into a little bird... simply marvellous!

Based in Hong Kong, Doris's designs is certainly an epitome of east meets west.

And so, before the night ended, @cherylnicolesoh and myself had to have a picture taken together to remember this whimsical evening.

I hope you enjoyed this sneak peek into Jeweluxe Singapore 2017. You can view more of the designers on jeweluxesingapore.com

Palm Beach :: Hi-Lo Summer Dress + HASK Beauty

Hi everyone. I hope that those of you affected by Hurricane Irma are staying strong and keeping safe. Personally, my in-laws are living close to Tampa, Florida and it was such a nail biting week where we were glued to both the TV, Skype and Phone to keep updated on the hurricane and to stay in touch with our love ones.

Thank you to all of you who have sent me messages and texts to enquire and for your prayers and support. They are both doing fine even though they have stayed in the house and not evacuated and thank god, they suffered little damage to the property. We were also lucky to have electricity and water. But it was a really tough week being so far away and feeling helpless.

So here's a post that reminded me lots of Palm Beach ( and Florida in general). I love the palm leaf / fern prints for summer items and whilst many of you are already heading into Fall fashion, here we are in the tropics with Summer all year round.

This hi-low dress from Shein.com is such a easy to wear weekend outfit. And thank god the ankle's feeling lots better so managed to style it with heels. Keeping the whole summer feel in line, I paired this look with my favourite palm leaf/ feather drop silver earrings and accessorised with nude heels and clutch for a less busy look seeing that the palm leaf prints was what I wanted to focus on.

Coincidentally, I am also trying to do a redecoration of my apartment and deciding on a British Colonial theme. So pretty much keeping my existing furniture, and just playing around moving them around the house in various positions and peppering the living room with lots of green plants all help to create this similar Palm Beach feel. Will share pictures with you once I have completed this project.

A big shout-out to my favourite people of HASK of which I only discovered their products eversince returning to Singapore. I love their range of hair care products from daily shampoo / conditioner to hair masks, oil treatments and stylers. A U.S brand formulated for different hair types and condition, all their products are free of sulphates and parabens and reasonably priced unlike most high end salon product(s).

I have noticed my hair condition significantly improve since using HASK and would not hesitate to recommend them. If you head to their website you will be able to see their popularity around the world and where to buy them at your nearest drug store / chemist.

Have fun trying out their products and I hope you enjoyed this post.

Bloody Mary :: Red Cuffed Pants + Embroidered Top

Hi everyone,

After weeks of unpacking and settling into a new routine, I finally managed to take some time off to visit the Singapore Art Museum recently with my son as there was a children's exhibition ongoing at the moment.

Being housed in an old building I loved the architecture of the museum and had to take some outfit shots to highlight in my post.

Am back to trending drop earrings this summer. Found this pretty palm leaf patterned pair at Lovisa!

The art installations were very captivating but I  particularly liked the one from Mary Bernadette Lee (Singapore) entitled " Wanderland". If I could redo a baby's nursery this would be what I would have liked the nursery to look like!

These pretty fabric lanterns reminds me so much of the globe and it was like looking through to the unknown!

Back to the outfit, I had styled this pair of comfy cuffed pants last Summer when I was holidaying in Florida ( check out the post here). Unfortunately with the move this year, we could not head out to see family for summer but will hopefully do so over Christmas.

I love the slouchiness of this pair of pants and it is perfect for the hot summer weather - given I had so many " war wounds" from the move and my legs were so badly scratched up. I was just too embarrass to be trending anything above the knee.

Hope you like this pairing. Have a good weekend ahead!

Lazy Tuesday :: Denim + Red Accents

How was your Halloween celebrations? Mine was just a rushed affair and thank god for the training of being a Waldorf pre-school teacher so my nifty crafting skills came in handy finally making Halloween decorations for the village's trick or treating event.

So, here's a little midweek treat. Cooler temperatures in the morning allowing longer sleeve cover ups to trend.

A quick shout out to fellow blogger " Stylewich" - Elizabeth Lee for being such a great mentor, support and for all her gorgeous inspirations. Just like it takes a village to raise a child - it takes a supportive blogging community for one to develop and rise to become a successful blogger. Thank you so much !!

Please do visit Elizabeth's blog for great ideas and fashion inspirations. Check out Stylewich.com  here now.

Hope you enjoyed this casual look and thank you for visiting. Enjoy the rest of your week ahead !

Love,
Simone xoxo
