Its A Garden City :: Orchid Danglers + Full Maxi Dress

Dress : Konacoco by Erika Pena ( available here & here)
Earrings : House Of Rajput ( available here)
Belt : vintage ( similar here & creative option here)
Shoes : ASOS ( sold out) ( similar here & here)

Hey everyone,

I must apologise for those of you who have been waiting for my post over a week. It has just been such a hectic week with giveaways and collaborations which I had rolled out with some brand partners over Instagram. I hope if you have been following me on IG that you have participated in these giveaways.

Well, here in Singapore, we had just celebrated our nation's 55th birthday and if you do not know yet, our national flower is the Vanda Miss Joaqhim - a gorgeous orchid! So in line with this month's National Day celebrations, I bring to you today this stunning pair of Orchid Danglers from one of my favourite statement jewellery brands - the House Of Rajput. The vibrant colour mix of blue and orange is just gorgeous against the blush hues of this flowing, full skirted and all time favourite Erika Peña dress.
Funny enough I found this headscarf which belonged to my mother in law and she had it for years ( truly vintage) and it paired perfectly for this look to cinch in my waist with. And to finish the look, this pair of V front slingback heels from ASOS which unfortunately is already sold out but there are so variations of this style which I am sure you can mix and match with to style this look.

Leaving you for now - I hope you like this outfit and here's to a Happy National Day month to ALL my Singaporean friends and followers!

Don't forget to check out my IG profile and stories for all other offers for this month!

Love,
Simone xoxo

Hey everyone,

It's Father's Day weekend and I am sure with Phase 2 now reopened in Singapore, many of you would have taken the opportunity to go dine out and have a little mini celebration. A much deserved family bonding time over good food and drinks this weekend. Remember stay cautious, wear your mask and keep your distance.

I had posted this look on Instagram earlier on in the week and felt it should be reposted here with my full photo shoot shots highlighting and reemphasising how grateful we are of this new breakthrough with the new steroid and possibly antibody vaccine they are hoping to roll out once the data is collected and more trials done but light at the end of the tunnel for sure.

I chose to do another editorial style shoot in the comfort of my own home ( and also a safer option than heading out when all are running out and about). Played with a newspaper background and literally "broke through" to create this pictorial. I love the comfort of this rock chic look and I think it exudes some a "strong" woman / boss babe vibe to it. So went more edgy with the darker lip shade from Amplio Beauty and upcycled this old vest with a gorgeous patch from Just Gayas ( please do DM her on Instagram for prices and pattern options as it is not listed on her site yet). This look was finished off with a pair of stunning earrings from one of their latest collection from Shop Lustre and bangles ( a mix of 2 sets) from Stones That Rock. You may wish to note that they are having a storewide sale ( 25% off) all their jewellery online now till 26 June 2020, and you may also be gifted a free bracelet with your purchase.

Completing this rock chic look are these buttery soft, handcrafted, curated pair of leather booties which I have worn countless of times regardless of climate and season. Its definitely an investment footwear to own. For my followers, The Tui Collection is offering a 25% off these Booties - use code " Booties25" to upon checkout for this fabulous deal!!

Hope you enjoyed this post and do note many of these brands do ship internationally, with many also offering free shipping within Singapore ( local shipping). Do pay them a visit and support them if you can.

Love,
Simone xoxo

Hi everyone,

Hope you are all still keeping safe and staying healthy! We are now a week into our "Circuit Breaker" in Singapore of which we are all advised to stay home and hunker down till 4 May 2020 in the hope of flattening the curve.

Of course, I have been on my own self imposed stay at home notice since the last week of March and so you can imagine, how dreary I am feeling by now, not having had the chance to do my outdoors shoots and styling or even to venture out for a cup of coffee at the local cafe. However, as "your style architect" I constantly look for ways to " build" new looks, to bring you trending styles and fashion no matter what the situation is and what is more trending now than ever before are Fabric Washable Face Masks!!

First, I must say -  a true pity with such gorgeous weather outdoors over the last week that I just had to don one of my favourite designers  - Erika Peña and feel good again. This gorgeous Bata Rumba long dress is just the perfect maxi dress length for me to style with my pop of colour, red suede Ria Menorca wedges that is available here in Singapore at Binibeca Fashion boutiques. The flowing long tiered dress can be worn on its own - light and free. However, keeping the red pop of colour consistent throughout this look, I started building a different twist to this dress by pairing it with a gorgeous red vintage midollino bag and cinching the dress at the waist for a more polished look with this  red accented patterned twilly from Nala Designs / Just Gayas. Finally, this look is rounded off with this floral reversible fabric face mask by Al.Ma.Lu boutique.

I love how these face masks arrived in little draw string pouches with a little card inserted which mentions what song was listened to whilst my specific mask was made. The reversible masks also has a twist of a little embroidered flower or embellishment sewn onto one corner of the mask to give it that feminine touch. Martina who owns Al.Ma.Lu keeps things real by offering face masks in designs for men as well as for children, and the myriad of patterns and colours  just makes you want to keep going back for more. In light that this is indeed a good practise to wear  face masks when one is out (especially during this pandemic period and perhaps months beyond as we slowly regain normalcy in our lives), it would be a great idea to have a couple of various designs so you can mix and match them with your wardrobe and outfits, just as you would with your handbags and accessories. Who knows? This could be the start of a new trend that is to stay for a long time coming.

I hope you enjoyed this look and do feel free to share with me what you are doing to stay trendy whilst quarantined at home?

Love,
Simone xoxo

Leopard Spots

Hi everyone. Sorry for the MIA for about a week. It is because I was down with another bad bout of walking pneumonia and this time it hit me hard for 3 weeks. Husband was away, dogs and kid alone in the house and having to keep an eye on mom as well it was a mean task let me tell you. Just short of me collapsing.

Thank god all is well now and all test results have returned negative so life goes on.

As we are now going through a spate of humid and thunderstorm weather every afternoon, styling outfits with long sleeves are making more sense for us now. And what better way to stay on form and in trend with this pretty lightweight leopard print shirt that could be layered with an outerwear for those in slightly cooler climates. Yet chic enough to be worn on its own as a weekend casual outfit paired with the perfect black jeans.

I hope you enjoy this look and yes... if you hadn't noticed I wanted to have fun with the traffic sign on my last picture.. after all can you imagine if the children were crossing and here I am in their way posing away! ha ha ha......

Raise The Checkered Flag

Hello from sunny Singapore where we are currently celebrating the 10th year anniversary of the Formula 1 races having taken place here every September since 2008. Whilst everyone is getting ready for the big race tomorrow evening, what better way to enjoy the races in a themed styled outfit.

Restyling an old favourite ( check out previous post here) and coping with the balmy weather, I decided to pair this culotte with an off shoulder top to stay cool ( no pun intended).

Of course, with such a great mood and hype around the races, a comfy pair of shoes like these Ria Menorca glitter wedges and a silver net bag finishes off the look. Taking one from the races to a night out and about town seeing the sights and enjoying the after parties.

A person who loves her statement jewellery, I am so chaffed to trend these @thriftythieves resin earrings in the perfect colour match to my outfit.

Hope you enjoyed this look and if you get the chance, do tune in to watch the races this weekend, soaking up the beautiful night skyline of Singapore!
