Hi Everyone,

I have been working on a new direction with all my collaborations that have come into play in recent months over Instagram and so I did not have the time to get on my blog in the last week or so. But here I am again and I have not forgotten you guys who wait patiently each week to catch my posts over the weekends.

So here is this gorgeous dress aptly named "Mykonos"that is handprinted.  Having a soft spot for nice, soft and beathable materials, and having experienced a lack of nice natural fabrics where most handprinted ones are mainly batik style, Marie ( owner and designer) of Acquabonita started to painstakingly source and curate fabrics handprinted by local artisans and that is how Acquabonita was born.

I personally am drifting away from higher hemlines as I get older, however this dress is so stunning with its bright pink colour and the prints which truly does remind me of those pictures I see on Instagram all the time of people vacationing in Mykonos, Greece in similar resort wear styles. So I decided to pair it casual with gold sandals and clutch and let's always go full on with the pairings, so I added a  gorgeous gold plated necklace, vintage chain link belt and a statement cuff to sum it all up! Ultimate resort wear style!

Do check out Acquabonita's website for their full range of products including earrings, bags and necklaces. I often use my summer dresses as transitional season pieces throwing on a vest or an outerwear over my summer dresses and pair it with booties or even knee length boots to take you from Summer to Fall. So it's definitely still an option for those of you heading into Fall to still grab this cool and comfy dress.

Hope you enjoyed this post and do follow me on Instagram where you can watch me in action on my IGTV Videos and learn about this new direction I am taking.

Love,

Simone xoxo

Hey everyone,

It's Father's Day weekend and I am sure with Phase 2 now reopened in Singapore, many of you would have taken the opportunity to go dine out and have a little mini celebration. A much deserved family bonding time over good food and drinks this weekend. Remember stay cautious, wear your mask and keep your distance.

I had posted this look on Instagram earlier on in the week and felt it should be reposted here with my full photo shoot shots highlighting and reemphasising how grateful we are of this new breakthrough with the new steroid and possibly antibody vaccine they are hoping to roll out once the data is collected and more trials done but light at the end of the tunnel for sure.

I chose to do another editorial style shoot in the comfort of my own home ( and also a safer option than heading out when all are running out and about). Played with a newspaper background and literally "broke through" to create this pictorial. I love the comfort of this rock chic look and I think it exudes some a "strong" woman / boss babe vibe to it. So went more edgy with the darker lip shade from Amplio Beauty and upcycled this old vest with a gorgeous patch from Just Gayas ( please do DM her on Instagram for prices and pattern options as it is not listed on her site yet). This look was finished off with a pair of stunning earrings from one of their latest collection from Shop Lustre and bangles ( a mix of 2 sets) from Stones That Rock. You may wish to note that they are having a storewide sale ( 25% off) all their jewellery online now till 26 June 2020, and you may also be gifted a free bracelet with your purchase.

Completing this rock chic look are these buttery soft, handcrafted, curated pair of leather booties which I have worn countless of times regardless of climate and season. Its definitely an investment footwear to own. For my followers, The Tui Collection is offering a 25% off these Booties - use code " Booties25" to upon checkout for this fabulous deal!!

Hope you enjoyed this post and do note many of these brands do ship internationally, with many also offering free shipping within Singapore ( local shipping). Do pay them a visit and support them if you can.

Simone xoxo

Money, Money Money :: Black Maxi Dress + Statement Brass Beaten Coin Necklace

Necklace : House of Rajput ( get it here)

Hey everyone,

I have been pretty busy the last week working with local brands and businesses which require so much of our support at this time. Anything I could do to help I was more than happy to since we are all still on an extended Circuit Breaker / Lockdown in Singapore.

If you have been following me on Instagram, I had showcased this gorgeous necklace from House of Rajput with a short " How To Style" video on this, but here it is for those of you who are not following me on that platform. This stunning piece made up of brass beaten coins reflecting roman style motifs is such a gorgeous statement piece to dress up any outfit. In this post, I am showcasing the formal look however I will bring you the casual / dress down look shortly. However you can check it out on my Instagram feed and IGTV which I will highlight the link below.

House of Rajput,  is a multi-label contemporary jewellery brand based here in Singapore. They work with independent jewellery designers and artisans from India to bring India's rich heritage of craftsmanship to the world.  Noticing a gap for affordable bespoke statement jewellery in Singapore, Jia of House of Rajput wanted to create an accessories one-stop shop and curate a selection of statement pieces showcasing these gorgeous pieces at affordable prices - with the mindset of empowering women!

Back to the necklace, this stunning piece comes in 3 options of colour and they use 100% vegan leather in the production of this piece. I love how the length of the necklace could be adjusted for one to wear it more choker style against a high collared outfit or perhaps lower to highlight the décolletage of a low neck outfit.

This maxi dress was a swop from The Fashion Pulpit and I am so glad to have gotten it! It worked perfectly with this necklace and kept the look, simple yet elegant. Keeping the look vintage in line with the necklace, I paired it with a midollino bag from A Vintage Tale and kept my shoes simple and classic from Saks.

For first time customers, House of Rajput is offering a 10% off your first purchase and they do ship worldwide so do go and check them out for their beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces to call your own!

Now most ladies may be a little worried about trending statement necklaces as they do not wish to look like a Christmas Tree during the day time or wondering how often can they wear such necklaces out and about - only to reserve it for special occasions. However I kid you not, paired with the right outfit, you can easily trend and style this gorgeous necklace for daytime wear as well. You can get a short preview of the casual look on my video but do stay tune for the post.

Meanwhile, do follow me on Instagram to enjoy my many " How To Style" videos. And here is the link below for the looks I have featured this necklace on.

I hope you enjoyed the video and watch this space for more exciting jewellery pieces coming your way soon from House of Rajput.

Love,
Simone xoxo

Trending On My Balcony :: Comfy Cotton Dress + Red Suede Wedges

Hey everyone,

Its Day #14 for me having started to practise and seriously take into account social distancing and my self imposed stay at home notice. It's been a little trying cos you know how much I love to be out and about taking my photos in various settings outdoors and just to go visit my favourite brands to land my support ( emotionally as well as maybe even helping their business in purchasing an item or 2)  in their retail outlets. However with the increase number of community spread that we are now facing in our second wave of this pandemic here in Singapore, everyone of us needs to do our part to ensure that we can stop this vicious cycle. What is this little inconvenience when others are fighting for their lives!!

So here I am, stuck at home and feeling that itch to start putting shoots together again. Hence, I decided to style this gorgeous dress today on my balcony. This beautiful cotton dress was sent me a while ago by Pastel Peacock. Started by Pooja Patel who is a fashion designer based in Ahmedabad, India, I love the block print on the hemline of this outfit and the cotton fabric is such a welcome treat for such hot weather these days in Singapore.

As you know me, more is more -  and so I had to add on my little personal touches to finish off this classic cut dress by pairing it with my leather vintage belt from The Tui Collection, my all time favourite pair of earrings from Halo Halo Bebe, this gorgeous rattan bag from Miuccia Studio and of course the pop of colour with my Fire Engine Red Lipstick and this pair of their latest collection  Ria Menorca wedges from Binibeca Fashion.

Feeling that vibe of Audrey Hepburn in this classic style swing dress that's so perfect for summer -  this look had to be paired with a wide brim summer hat to complete the look. Inspired by the tribal style print on the dress, this pair of cuffs given to me for my birthday ( let me think about 8-10 years ago ) adds that final touch to seal the deal!!

I hope you enjoyed this look and remember - stay safe and stay indoors!

Simone xoxo

How To Wear A Pin Stripe Jumpsuit

Jumpsuit : J.O.A  ( get it heresimilar here & here)
Cotton Tee : Cotton On ( get it here)
Straw Bag : H&M ( get it here)
Cap : old ( similar here)
Ring : Next ( similar here & here)
Shoes : Pull N Bear ( similar here & here)
Rosette : old ( similar here & here)

Hi everyone. This week, I am bringing you a casual look that you can style for Spring. Made of a slightly heavier material, which is perfect for those still slightly cooler days, and with a slight stretch to it, this double breasted pin stripe jumpsuit from J.O.A can be worn on it's own or as I did, pair it with a t-shirt underneath for more comfort.

Keeping this look casual, I paired it with a comfy pair of espadrille wedges and top it off with a baker's boy cap. However I needed to add my own little feminine twist to what would have seemed like a more tom-boy style of dressing. Hence the cute little flower pin which I had for more than 10 years hidden somewhere in my closet and now it was the perfect piece of accessory to finish this look with.

You could add a pair of booties to this look for a more funky vibe. And the straw bag in circular shape just helps to add a little texture to the final clean line look. The same goes for the contemporary wave ring.

Here are some other pin-stripe jumpsuit inspirations I found on Instagram and hope these pictures could help you style your jumpsuit in various ways.
