Furry Feeling :: Fur Vest and Leather Pants

Happy weekend everyone.

Whilst most of us is now back to work and school ( well at least here in Hong Kong), I wanted to share this look with you as it was recently taken over the festive period ( as you can see the Christmas tree in the background). But it's just been so quick and in the blink of an eye the festive holiday season is now over.... so let's try and keep it going for just that wee lil bit more ok?

If you have been following me, this fur vest was a great steal I bought recently from online store CHOIES and my very first post of this vest was pairing it in Fall with a short sleeve tee under it ( check it out here) . This time, I wore the vest over the holiday season again and since the weather got much cooler by then, decided to team it with  leather pants and a turtleneck. Totally added that touch of glamour to a simple fur vest.

Certainly a versatile look to play with, the stud heels and glitter clutch was ideal for this dinner event I was going for, but one can easily rock chic this up with boots and a different bag. You could even trend a statement necklace with the turtleneck. I kept my accessories simple and to a minimal this time.

Many of you would remember this glitter clutch trending in 2013 but I am all about recycling my wardrobe and so this clutch is back out this winter as much as the pair of leather pants.

Hope you like this look and if you haven't yet invested in a fur vest yet, you should ! Have fun trending this look and do watch this space for more exciting giveaways coming your way soon to kick off 2015 with!

Leather Me Up :: Leather Jacket & Skirt with Stripe Turtleneck

Hi everyone.

Being just about a week away from Christmas, my schedule has just gotten sooo busy with last minute shopping, school plays to attend, class parties to prepare food for etc... Not to mention, trying to keep warm whilst the weather gets cooler.

I have always felt that a Leather Biker/Motorcycle Jacket as some would call them, is a basic essential item one should have in the wardrobe for the winter season. A classic piece to own, I love trending this jacket ( and I am sure you will see a couple of outfit posts with this jacket during the winter season) for it's versatility, comfort and style.

If you haven't noticed, I do love same colour combinations of classic pieces for the different seasons in my fav Black and Stripes Combo. And always working on accenting with a pop of colour. So here a nice richer Burgundy/ Maroon coloured bag ( instead of bright red in Summer), which can double up as a clutch, adds the perfect touch to complete the look.

Since the leather skirt was pleated, it had a flirty girly edge to it so why not have some fun during the shoot! Here's a candid shot for you!

Love the detailing of studs on the jacket especially for this year since many designers have caught on to the stud craze for their luxury goods e.g Valentino, Marc Jacobs etc. Also being a round collared jacket unlike most traditional high collared Biker Jackets, this style would give one more room to play with accessories or high collared inner piece necklines.

Kept my accessories simple with just a gold watch and a simple gold bangle. However since the outfit was in full leather, why not go all out with leather hi cut boots as well!

Am working now hard on editing my next video to be released before Christmas on basic Winter Items you should have in your wardrobe. So do stay tune and watch this space next.

How to Wear Leather for Fall'12 in Asia?

Hi Everyone.

What comes to mind when you think of Leather outfits?
Probably a cool climate ( hence a need for a leather jacket),
rock chick( sniggering....) or perhaps something kinky to use
in the bedroom? ( more sniggering...)

Well, here in Singapore, we certainly DO NOT wear leather to keep ourselves warm, nor
for most of us perhaps using leather in the bedroom may be a tad too funky ( the Asian
speaking in me!). However Leather as you know is a key Fall trend for 2012, so how can we
style it to be chic yet not biker chick if you know what I mean, unless you are truly getting on
a Harley Davidson and riding off to the sunset!

LOOK NO. 1 - Pairing it with Heels, Statement Necklace and Bag

I wanted to explore playing with textures and prints in my Look No. 1. Piling on 2 funky necklaces, a printed sleeveless top with a checkered plaid corset, a simple leather skirt could easily be worn to the office or out about town with this getup.

LOOK NO. 2 - Wedges & Belt

Sleeveless Daisy Print Top : New Look
Corset : Topshop ( similar here)
Leather Skirt : eBay UK ( similar here)
Heels with Gold Studs : River Island
Bag : Chanel Jumbo XL ( Vintage)
Ring : Forever 21
Gold Choker Necklace : Cotton On ( similar here)
Spike Necklace : Foster Bay

In this second styling, I had toned down the feel of the same outfit just by removing the statement necklaces as well as cinching in the waist with a skinny belt which is probably a cuter way to wear this outfit especially if you are younger.
I had also replace the heels with a pair of black suede wedges.

Here's how Hollywood Celebrities are wearing this trend.

So you can see how easy it is to play around with prints, textures to trend
Leather for Fall 2012 in Asia.

Have fun,
