Navy Seals :: Navy Cardigan + Fringe Loafers

Hi everyone,

Finally a chance for me to post a mid-week treat for you guys!

It's funny that being in the first week of Dec 2016, we have yet to see the mercury seriously drop ( just yet!) and so lighter cardigans and a thinner jacket for cooler mornings and evenings was the perfect outfit choice.

Dashing off to school, less makeup, less accessories and coffee in hand !

Off to work I go ! Hope you enjoyed this quick post.

Love,
Simone xoxo

How was your Halloween celebrations? Mine was just a rushed affair and thank god for the training of being a Waldorf pre-school teacher so my nifty crafting skills came in handy finally making Halloween decorations for the village's trick or treating event.

So, here's a little midweek treat. Cooler temperatures in the morning allowing longer sleeve cover ups to trend.

A quick shout out to fellow blogger " Stylewich" - Elizabeth Lee for being such a great mentor, support and for all her gorgeous inspirations. Just like it takes a village to raise a child - it takes a supportive blogging community for one to develop and rise to become a successful blogger. Thank you so much !!

Please do visit Elizabeth's blog for great ideas and fashion inspirations. Check out Stylewich.com  here now.

Hope you enjoyed this casual look and thank you for visiting. Enjoy the rest of your week ahead !

Summer's Hottest Trend :: Off Shoulder Top with Flare Sleeves

Hello, hello, hello!

What a week! Been so busy at work and working on collaborations for my blog that I hardly had the chance to put together an outfit post for a while. Before I begin, let me remind you that the last two series of COACH giveaways is still ongoing so log in your entries now. Just head over to my link on the navigation bar on " Current Giveaways" or click here to view.

Loving the off shoulder look which is Summer's hottest trend! Ideally so, when the weather is so HOT that bare shoulders does help to keep us slightly cool. Plus given now that I have cut my hair short for summer, it is such a nice feeling to go out in the heat feeling the breeze on my shoulders and neck. This beautiful Rosie Assoulin inspired top thrilled me when I received it in the mail.

Wanted to style this as a casual top, hence paired it with a nice comfy Calvin Klein shorts and my fedora hat from good old Uniqlo.

This style of off shoulder top is slightly different than the conventional gartered tube top style, which often rides up to your shoulders when you lift up your arms. The sleeves being non gartered and seperately stitched on to the main body of the outfit allows that flexibility of movement of the arms. And somehow its a sexier feel to your standard off shoulder top.

The flared sleeves is another hot summer trend to play with. The theatrical and dramatic effect of these sleeves is certainly one reason why I love this top so much.

Kept accessories to the same colour tone and paired it with my favourite sneakers for running around. Perfect outfit for summer holidays too !

Max Mara Cruise Line Event 2016

Happy Tuesday everyone,

Was recently invited to preview the Max Mara SS 2016 collection at their flagship store here in Hong Kong.

The event kicked off with famous fashion stylist and blogger - Ms Faye Tsui of "Fayevorite", sharing invaluable mix and match styling tips with the VIPS as they sipped champagne and browse through the collection.

I certainly loved the nautical inspiration behind this collection. Particularly their jumpsuits with a sailor's knot at the back as detailing and high waisted pants with gold buttons! Gorgeous!! Not forgetting the loose and comfortable tunics and tops that are so versatile for mix and matching in Summer.

If you have not noticed yet, stars and stripes were also a key focus this season.

No fashion preview is ever complete without the pampering of champagne and cocktail hors d'ouerves. And the evening ended with everyone sampling limoncello liqueur as they excitedly tried various items from clothing wear, to shoes, bags and jewelry. Many walked out with a filled Max Mara shopping bag in hand at least, so you can imagine the buzz for this event.

As for me, the night was still young. So with my NEW pair of shoes in hand, goodie bag and slightly tipsy from all the alcohol at the event, I headed out to the Mira Moon hotel for a nice tapas dinner. Sorry I had not taken pictures of myself at the preview as you can imagine juggling a camera, champagne glass and cocktail in hand was no mean feat, let alone trying desperately to get my hands on some goodies! However here were some quick mobile phone before and after shots.

I hope you enjoyed this post and stay tuned for the next Coach Giveaway #2 coming up real soon with a lovely North South Swingpack up for grabs!

Grecian Goddess :: Must Have Spring Dress Trend + Halo Hair Band

Hey there,

A nice wrap up to the end of another week. Had back to back giveaways happening this week of which the last of a series of 4 giveaways was launched over the March - April 2016 period. Please go check them out in my earlier posts as there is still time to log in your entries till 12 April 2016.

Here's a look I had put together recently and I must say, its indeed a pity that the Australian based accessory boutique - LOVISA, is not available here in Hong Kong. However, whenever I do head back to Singapore, I would go crazy in their store for all their items are just so pretty and unique.

Got this unique hair band a while back and it was a nice twist to pair with this outfit.

This mustard coloured shift style sleeveless dress from H&M in jacquard material is one of my favourite dresses in my closet over the last year. The ease and comfort of wearing shift dresses makes it a Spring/ Summer MUST HAVE . Besides that it does not wrinkle or crease too much also makes this a perfect outfit to take out on trips or holidays.

Pair it with heels ( in this case - Gladiator style heels) and you got an evening outfit put together. Or wear it casual with slip on sandals and you can shop comfortably in it during the day.

Picked up this lovely hair band from LOVISA where you can style it 2 ways. The first, as you can see is how I had styled it with this outfit,  and the second is to bring the leaf chain over to the front and across the forehead ( similar to an indian style kind of accessory) and voila... you get a different look altogether!

Keeping in line with a " Grecian Goddess" theme, I paired the dress with a simple fringe gold necklace and kept all other accessories simple and minimal.

Most of you would realise that I often refer " getting the look for less" from my favourite online store - Shein.com. Why not check out their Awesome deals right now and shop their range of shift dresses to trend this Spring/ Summer 2016! At great dealsof 40- 45% off, getting a couple certainly will not burn a hole in your pocket to look trendy and stylish this Summer.
