Vested Interest :: Long Vest and Pleated Skirt

Hi everyone,

Christmas is less than a week out from today. Playing with ribbons and bows all day with gift wrapping - decided to go a little crazy at the start of this outfit shoot, and threw on my tasselled belt as a necklace accessory. May not be the right thing to do but hey Fashion is all about having fun isn't it?

Again, you would have noticed, I seem to stick to favourite colour palettes for my winter outfits. This year, I particularly gravitated lots to Olive and Burgundy tones.

Old favourites to the rescue when you seem to be in a rush and can't seem to find anything to wear. A wardrobe full of clothes and yet still, always in dilemma.

Bought this Goyard clutch to carry my documents for meetings, but I end up using it more as a day clutch bag rather than using it for my documents... love the fact that it is oversize which makes perfect sense trending it during the day rather than evenings.

Feeling like a cowgirl from a Western movie with my high cut leather boots!

I am finally on holiday now so will have more time to spend blogging. Do stay tune for my Christmas outfit posts and enjoy your christmas shopping!

Two back-to-back giveaways are ongoing at the moment to end the year with a bang. Click here to check them out and send in your daily entries for a chance to win some spending money!!

Berry Fun :: Burgundy Overalls + Berry Accents

Hello December and Happy Weekend to all of you!

As the weather starts to get cooler, and everyone starts getting busy preparing for the festive holidays, I am starting to feel nostalgic. I especially love the smell of Christmas. Strong whiffs of cranberry and spicy apples fill the air when you step into the malls. In the grocery stores, strong scents of nutmeg and cinnamon and mulled wine linger in the air...

So here I am, out and about in the back alleys of Sai Kung in Hong Kong finally getting a chance to explore the quaint shops and took the opportunity to capture couple of pics.

Recently, I tried deviating a little out of my comfort zone in terms of dress styles and started purchasing a few overalls / dungarees. Particularly loved this wine berry / Burgundy number from Bershka.

The coloured backdrop was so captivating which was too good not to be missed and captured digitally!

Was at Zara the other day and these lovely boots was screaming out my name!! I like the mirror touch on the heels and was pleasantly surprised they are such a comfy pair of boots to walk in. Not forgetting, a perfect match to this outfit.

Funny enough, I seem to have many a Burgundy/ Wine coloured accessories in my wardrobe collection. Pulled them all out to complete the look. The hat, the crossbody bag... and kept the accessories little and simple ( as usual!).

Have yourself a great first weekend of December!

Love,
Simone xoxo

Max Mara Cruise Line Event 2016

Happy Tuesday everyone,

Was recently invited to preview the Max Mara SS 2016 collection at their flagship store here in Hong Kong.

The event kicked off with famous fashion stylist and blogger - Ms Faye Tsui of "Fayevorite", sharing invaluable mix and match styling tips with the VIPS as they sipped champagne and browse through the collection.

I certainly loved the nautical inspiration behind this collection. Particularly their jumpsuits with a sailor's knot at the back as detailing and high waisted pants with gold buttons! Gorgeous!! Not forgetting the loose and comfortable tunics and tops that are so versatile for mix and matching in Summer.

If you have not noticed yet, stars and stripes were also a key focus this season.

No fashion preview is ever complete without the pampering of champagne and cocktail hors d'ouerves. And the evening ended with everyone sampling limoncello liqueur as they excitedly tried various items from clothing wear, to shoes, bags and jewelry. Many walked out with a filled Max Mara shopping bag in hand at least, so you can imagine the buzz for this event.

As for me, the night was still young. So with my NEW pair of shoes in hand, goodie bag and slightly tipsy from all the alcohol at the event, I headed out to the Mira Moon hotel for a nice tapas dinner. Sorry I had not taken pictures of myself at the preview as you can imagine juggling a camera, champagne glass and cocktail in hand was no mean feat, let alone trying desperately to get my hands on some goodies! However here were some quick mobile phone before and after shots.

I hope you enjoyed this post and stay tuned for the next Coach Giveaway #2 coming up real soon with a lovely North South Swingpack up for grabs!

Love,
Simone xoxo
