Hi everyone.

Hope you had a good long Easter weekend break.

To kick off the week, this was my take on what would be an ideal Easter outfit. A sign of rebirth, new life, I was immediately drawn to this dress calling out my name on the racks of ZARA when I was out recently.

A beautiful 1950s swing dress style, I love the full circle skirt which is so flattering and the V cut front certainly flatters one's décolletage. If you are daring enough to wear this dress loud and proud, bring the collar up to create an even more sexy and dramatic feel to this dress. The cinching of the waist with the black belt that comes with the dress, creates the perfect silhouette of the hour glass figure.

I wanted to keep the look fresh pairing it with nude accessories e.g nude wedges and a statement straw bag. However you can most certainly also up the ante with a black quilted top handle bag or perhaps a cross body or clutch bag as well as black stiletto heels.

Of course with such a loud dress, best to keep one's accessories simple and so keeping with the floral theme, I have styled this look with a simple black flower cocktail ring and black beaded earrings keeping the look toned down and with the main focus on the dress with subtle statement accessories.

I hope you enjoy this look and as this dress is fresh out of Zara's oven - you can still find it in the stores now!

Love,
Simone xoxo

Fun Ways to Wear Leopard Print Trend

Whilst some of you had jumped on the bandwagon of trending animal prints this Fall, others may be a little apprehensive as it can be a little too much to put on a full outfit of leopard prints.

Don't get me wrong - I love leopard prints and animal prints like snake prints however, I was cautious this time around to invest in a full blown leopard print piece seeing that it's one of those " come and go" trends that turn around in a heartbeat. So, I decided to put this outfit together, getting into the whole trend of leopard prints but wearing it subtly in terms of pieces rather than a full outfit.

Found the perfect match in these beautiful faux fur pumps and belt and these leopard print drop earrings I had stashed away at the back of my earring drawer.

Moral of the story :: You certainly do not need to follow trends blindly but twist it to match your needs and the appropriateness of the climate you are in.

Tell me what you think of this trend and how you would style this look? Have fun playing with the leopard print trend!

Make That Statement!

If you are like me, where dressing a little flamboyant is in your blood, where you love to stand out in the crowd, then you would love the current trend of statement sleeves. Giving an outfit a slight twist, this trend totally brings a simple outfit to a whole new different level just by a slight tweak on the sleeves to make it dramatic and theatrical.

The bright colour of this top certainly calls out amidst fall colours to bring that little sunshine to greying skies.

Paired with simple jewellery and accessories, the other statement piece of this outfit are the V cut slingbacks. Perfect for Fall cover up yet comfy to run around in and looking tres chic.

Hope you like this quick outfit post!

Summer Time :: Floral Printed Dress with Bar Cuff Earring

Hello everyone and Happy Mother's Day!!

It's been awhile since my last post. Many of you who have been following me on Instagram and would have realised I have been busy travelling on a recent Asia Waldorf Teachers' Conference in Chengdu, China. Hence the MIA.

It was such an enriching trip and certainly one where I have learnt so much more about being a Waldorf Teacher.

Life has many ups and downs, twists and turns. The next and new chapter of my life will begin very soon and now whilst I am enriched as a Waldorf Teacher, I would now need to pack my bags and head back home as a trailing spouse....life goes on and I hope to be able to continue my work as a Waldorf teacher, in the meantime this may mean more blogging time on my hands.... watch this space!

So, getting myself back on track with my blogging work, I fell in love with the peek a boo sleeves on this ZARA dress and I love the silver ring buckle accent. The perfect Summer outfit to dress up or down with.

Check out this pretty ear cuff which was a farewell gift from my dear assistant, colleague and friend. She really knows me well and I love making this the highlight of my outfit.

Have a great Mother's Day weekend !

Oh My Valentine ! :: Lantern Sleeve Blouse + Fur Vest

Happy Valentine's Everyone!

A quick mid week post to highlight my somewhat twist on the typical classic Valentine's outfit - often being a very feminine sort of dress such as a little black / lace dress, red dress, skirt combinations etc...

This gorgeous lantern sleeve top was one I had found on my favourite online go to store - Shein.com for the latest fashion trends and items at a fraction of the cost. Seeing the nights  in Hong Kong these few days are pretty cold averaging 12 - 15 degrees, I threw on this fur vest to keep me warm as dinner was outdoors yet being sleeveless, accomodated for the showcasing of this statement sleeve blouse.

It was a casual dinner planned therefore, I decided to go statement with the blouse yet casual with the pants. Stiletto ankle booties was the perfect answer to finish the look.

I hope you enjoyed this look. Now you can trend this same look from my favourite items from Shein.com.

Black Boat Neck Lantern Sleeve Bowknot Blouse ( available in 3 colours)

Black Scallop Hem Crop Flared Pants

Black Faux Fur Vest
Black Metal Skeleton Hand Accent Studded Clutch Bag

Gold Plated Hollow Square Brooch ( perfect when belt is tied over)

Elegant Rhinestone Flower Wedding Party Brooch
Gold Color Metal Ball Statement Rings

Black Chain Embellished Stiletto Ankle Booties

Black Cutout Point Toe Stiletto Suede Booties

Have fun this evening and hope you enjoyed this look!
