Off Shoulder Chambray

Hope you are enjoying your weekend. This weekend, check out summer's hottest trend - Chambray + Off Shoulder top. I am both loving denim / chambray clothing items and somehow blue and white seems to be the go-to colour I tend to buy this summer. If you recall over last few summers, it was olive, then white and now this year - blue!

I am so loving this style and loosely tied knots at the sleeves add a cute detail to the outfit.

A simple outfit to take you through the weekend. You can most certainly play with loads of accessories with this outfit. I styled this with a mexican woven belt which doubled up as my headscarf and cool white denim knotted mules from ASOS.

Also to add a little depth to the outfit , I tied a knot at the waist to create some character to an otherwise simple off shoulder top and to bring out the knot accents on the sleeves. You can also leave it untied and hung loose over a pair of pants. If you get bored of this plain top, you can always accessories with brooches, long necklaces or to be bold, get one of those iron - on embroidered patches to create a different feel to an otherwise well loved top.

Have a great weekend then!

Bohemian Rhapsody :: Denim Overalls and Skinny Scarf

Happy Monday to you!!

Was recently back in Singapore and chanced upon this comfy overalls which I thought was sooo cute! Perfect for knocking around in.

You may have never seen me styled my hair this way but happened to be a bad hair day for me and seeing that skinny scarfs is a popular accessory for Fall/Winter 2015, I decided to use it as a hair accessory.

To add that little touch of glamour and colour to my outfit, paired this casual look with a powder pink peek a boo Katie Judith bag and a purple pom pom accessory.

The trick to pulling a look together is to work with matching colour palettes which will complete the outfit as a whole. In this case my skinny scarf had a purple pink tone and I simply love the Missoni style pattern on it.

These comfy espadrilles from Marks and Spencer has been my daily casual slipons over most days in Fall. The gold tones simply matches with every outfit.

Enjoying the nice cooler weather and mountain views of the new territories of Hong Kong.

You can easily take this look out on holiday trips especially to the tropics or resorts. Perfect comfy style.

With the holiday season round the corner, look out for my giveaway contest coming up soon!

How to Style A Denim Shirt : Chambray Shirt and Leopard Print

It's the weekend again everyone!

Was just going through my closet for a weekend outfit and realise I have a number of Denim shirts in various styles and fabrics. A Denim / Chambray Shirt is always a staple one should have in the closet anyways. It can easily be worn as a jacket, tied at the waist for a cool beach look, buttoned up and tucked in to a midi/ maxi skirt for that slight edge to an elegant outfit or simply worn over a pair of jeans. So many ways to style a chambray denim shirt.

Took these pictures some time back in Florida during one of our trips home, so you would notice my hair was much longer than ( boo hoo hoo.....) but I still love this simple combination.

Pastel Crush : Floral Halter & Powder Pink Shorts

Happy Monday everyone !

Been feeling the call of pastels and here is my summer take on Powder Pink ( a colour I don't often wear but slowly experimenting with it).

Accentuating the outfit with bright colours in my accessories, helps to bring some sharpness to the outfit and hence fit my personality and style better when working with pastels.

Stay tuned as my next post will be on " How to wear Powder Pink" and I will be creating 3 different looks for you to play around with.
