Blushing Pink

Celebrated Mom's 78th birthday this weekend ! Was too crazy busy to sit down and get a full post out to you guys. So here's a quick start to the week. I have noticed that I am styling more pinks these couple of weeks, somehow it's my current colour of the month.

I love how a light black and white cover-up works well against the pink to give the outfit a little kick and more so, that it also helps to keep me warm from those blasting air conditioning in the malls. My word - it had been sweltering hot these last few days in Singapore. So here we are again, melting in the heat outdoors and shivering our butt off in the malls.

Hope you enjoyed this post and you can shop this look below.

Floral Playsuit

Fall is here. Well .... not in Singapore but I was presuming that we would start to get slightly cooler temperatures ( at least in the late 20s) and certainly more rain. To the contrary it just keeps getting hotter and more humid and it feels like it's Summer re-inventing itself all over again!

Never one to be keen on playsuits or rompers as it's so troublesome to take them on and off when we head to the ladies room but somehow it has an understated elegance attached to it. This was a nice casual, floral piece from good old Cotton On and it was not too fussy to have to deal with in the restrooms.

The frill and ruffled hemline makes it extra playful and I love how the fabric is non crease so it's lovely to take on resort trips etc. Naturally it would be nice to pair this with flat sandals but here's giving this look a little twist with statement earrings/ accessories and wedges.

BLUE'S CLUES

Happy Friday everyone!

I know many of you have been wondering why the quiet silence over the last 2 weeks....My sincere apologies but so much has happened to me since returning back to Hong Kong from Florida.

Back to work immediately upon my return certainly did not help my jetlag and it took  me a whole week this time to get over it. Then came the wonderful episode of my wisdom tooth extraction which left me in a fair bit of pain after. And to top it all off, tripped over a curb at the parking lot yesterday after school and damn.... there goes my knees. So badly grazed and bruised, I could barely walk and it was so hard to get up from a sitting down position or vice versa. Well like they said, all bad things comes in sets of 3s so I hope this is the end of my spate of " bad luck".

Loving this soft flowy pants, slim cut but gartered at the ankle for those casual summer days. Cool and yet trendy. This was my flight outfit whilst on recent vacation in the states and with the non-crease material, a perfect travel outfit to mix and match.

To bring this outfit up a notch, decided to go a little boho again with my styling and added a recent gift from my mother-in-law which was a beautiful gold herringbone necklace, which is a key accessory in the hip hop world and wore it as a headband instead.

I hope you enjoyed this cool, comfy look and stay tune for more inspiring summer outfits coming your way soon now that I am back on track.

Do let me know in the comments below if this would be a style you would trend for this Summer 2016.

Summer 2016 - New Look!

Happy Sunday everyone,

If you haven't yet noticed, I have just launched a new look and feel for my blog and to compliment this whole adventure of refreshing one's looks - I got myself a haircut too! All ready for Summer!

I had been wanting to have a change in my looks especially for this Summer 2016, and after much research and thought, decided to pop into a Korean Hair Salon and requested for a korean hair stylist to chop off my locks. Having seen this kind of bob-style on some korean actresses and with almost a half hour consultation with the stylist, I was brave enough to finally make the decision.

Quite funny but naturally once the look was put together, I started changing my style as well. Working towards more korean pop fashion as opposed to my previous style which is more inclined towards more ladylike and smart casual styling. As sneakers are all the rage for 2016, you will notice that I am starting to drift away from ballet flats and sandals and will be styling my summer outfits more with espadrilles and sneakers this Summer 2016.

Loving this bell sleeve top from Zara which I had highlighted in my recent shopping haul video ( check it out here) and I do love how it could easily pair with pants, shorts and even a pencil skirt. I did wear it over the weekend with even a mini skater skirt. What a versatile top!

Loving these Rubi ( Cotton On) lace sneakers which are so comfortable. Got them also in army green canvas too.  To be honest, I would usually pair this same ensemble with ballet flats or open toe sandals, but since I decided to take a twist on my haircut - leaning towards a korean pop fashion influence - sneakers seem such a perfect choice for this outfit.

Crossbody mini satchels are the IN bags for spring/summer 2016 and this lovely Chloe Drew inspired bag from Shein.com was the perfect choice. You would be surprise that although this bag looks tiny, but it certainly is most spacious in what I could squeeze into this little bag.

Aviator sunnies - a perfect accessory to complete the look.

With this new korean style dressing,  accessories are kept simple and in line with the gold tone of the handbag chain.

So let me know in the comments below if you like my new look! Love to hear from you and your suggestions on a new dress style I should adopt for Summer 2016.

Happy 2016!

Hi Everyone,

Happy New Year !! Into the first few days of the work and school week of 2016. Didn't get to do a post on my New Year's Party outfit as I was down sick again and did not  get the chance to head out for any parties.... sigh....

As temperatures slowly drop ( it's been a pretty warm Christmas and New Year), here's a look to inspire for those casual weekends or a day out for shopping.

If you had not already known, " burnt orange" is the new trending shade for Winter 2015- 2016. So I decided to bring out the bronze tones with my bronze clutch and brown leather calf high boots.

Keeping the outfit to an earthy bronzy tone - threw on this lighter beige outerwear for a somewhat cooler morning. Kept accessories to golden hues in line with the bronze/ orange tone. This clutch is an old favourite from Aldo. I love how old favourites add something different to new outfits.

As always, I love stacking my bangles and the lovely new circle pendant necklace was a nice gift from ASOS. Simply love them all.

I hope you like this outfit and why don't you try trending Burnt Orange items in your outfit this Winter.

To help inspire you, here are some great buys I found online to add to your closet to start trending.

Hi everyone. Hope you guys had a good weekend.

Been busy working on another giveaway since we are literally counting down the days to Christmas and many of you would actually be starting your early Christmas shopping. Stores are starting to throw out pre-Christmas sales and Early Bird Discounts etc... So please stay tuned !

Was having a nice cuppa this morning with a friend at Pacific Coffee and suddenly Christmas Carols started playing in the background! We literally just stared at each other and started to laugh ( we're just about mid-November and a good month and a half away from Xmas)....indeed the mood is building up in the air and before you know it, it's the holiday seasons again!

I know I am slightly behind the general blogging public here seeing I have only recently become active again but am hoping to start making videos. So whilst I am learning how to edit my own videos for the moment, I will try my best to launch my first Youtube video soon.

So here's an outfit perfect for this transitional period where a little cover up is required although it may not get that cold by mid day so you can easily slip off the cardi and enjoy the sun whilst it lasts.

Do remember that the Michael Kors US$ 300 Gift Card Giveaway is ending soon on 24th November 2014. So hurry and get your entries in as soon as possible for that chance to get yourself an early Christmas pressie. Click here to enter.
